Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Epping for a Joinery Workshop Manager. The role involves overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining a high standard of quality, and managing a team of skilled craftspeople. Key responsibilities include supervising the production of custom-made joinery pieces, collaborating with design and project teams, managing inventory and materials, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining workshop equipment. The Joinery Workshop Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining efficiency and organization in the workshop while contributing to the overall success of the company's projects.
Qualifications
Proficiency in joinery production, woodworking techniques, and reading technical drawings
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead a team in a workshop environment
Experience in inventory management, equipment maintenance, and procurement processes
Knowledge of safety standards, quality control measures, and production scheduling
Skilled in problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate with design and project teams effectively
Relevant qualification or certification in joinery, woodworking, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in a similar managerial role in the joinery or woodworking industry is an advantage
