The Role We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Head of Year & Pastoral Support professional to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. This is a key role within the school, responsible for leading the pastoral care and wellbeing of a designated year group, ensuring all students are supported to thrive both personally and academically. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the pastoral care of a specific year group Provide guidance and support to students on behavioural, emotional, and social matters Monitor attendance, punctuality, and student wellbeing, implementing interventions where necessary Work closely with teachers, senior leadership, and external agencies to support students Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies Communicate regularly with parents/carers regarding student progress and wellbeing Support safeguarding procedures and contribute to a safe school environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience in a pastoral, Head of Year, or similar role within a secondary school Strong understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload A calm, resilient, and proactive approach About the school Lichfield based Competitive pay rates ASAP and will run on-going Onsite parking Ongoing professional development and training Dedicated consultant support Requirements To be considered for the role you will: Experience in a similar role Confident, professional, and reliable Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
