Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements:
* Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (infrastructure-level management).
* Experience working with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization, etc.).
* Practical experience with the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV) for OpenShift migrations.
* Proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management.
* Knowledge of CI/CD tools and the ability to build/maintain pipelines.
* Experience designing, building, or supporting multi-OS virtual platforms (Windows, Linux, compute guests).
* Strong understanding of host-level operations, patching, updates, and lifecycle management.
* Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, EX280, etc.) are preferred.
* Experience in large-scale enterprise environments is preferred.
* Understanding of containerization best practices and platform engineering principles is preferred.
Responsibilities:
* Build, configure, test, and manage hosts within OpenShift and virtualized environments.
* Develop, maintain, and optimize host and VM templates to support consistent deployments.
* Provide operational support across the platform lifecycle: provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning.
* Perform migrations using MTV (Migration Toolkit for Virtualization) to move workloads into OpenShift.
* Use Ansible to automate routine tasks, deployments, and configuration changes.
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and platform automation.
* Design and build new virtual platforms capable of hosting mixed workloads (Windows, Linux, guest OSs, compute guests).
* Execute platform patching, updates, and remediation activities as part of a secure operating model.
