Team Leader – Children's Residential Home
Location: Whitstable, Kent
Hours: Full-Time | 40 hours per week | Varied shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank and public holidays)
Salary: £33,540 – £36,400 per year (depending on number of sleep-in shifts)
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Children's Home Team Leader to join our team in Whitstable. In this role, you will support the management team with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care and positive childcare practices at all times.
As part of our committed residential care team, you will help create a safe, nurturing and empowering environment for the young people we support. Our aim is to promote independence, choice, and core life skills that enable each individual to thrive and prepare for independent living.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing a warm, safe and supportive environment for residents
* Supporting and guiding care staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
* Contributing to care plans, record-keeping, and reports
* Ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and safeguarding standards
About You
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to making a difference in young people's lives. To be successful in this role, you must:
* Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Residential Care (Ofsted requirement)
* Have proven experience working with children and young people in an Ofsted-regulated home
* Be committed to delivering outstanding, person-centred care
* Hold or be willing to obtain a valid DBS Certificate
