TITLE: Learning Support Assistant — Level 2
GRADE: Grade B - £24,027 - £24,404p.a. (£8,108 - £8,392p.a. after adjustment for part time hours and weeks)
ALLOWANCE: Special Needs Allowance £124p.a. (actual amount)
LOCATION: Phoenix, Clarkes Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 2BX
HOURS: 31.25 hours per week, Term Time + 5 INSET Days
CONTRACT: Temporary - Maternity Leave Cover
Start Date: As soon as possible subject to clearances
Closing date: 15th September 2025
Role purpose and responsibilities
* Provide classroom support for students with speech, language and communication, social and emotional difficulties through:
* Supporting individual and group work to raise core skills, supporting Personalised Learning Plans and help students access the national curriculum
* Assisting students to access the school curriculum and in the use of resources - including IT
* General support to students in line with Education, Health and Care Plans or planned provision
* Assisting in the assessment of students’ attainment and with the recording and monitoring of students’ progress
* Assisting with the supervision of students on school trips/visits
Qualifications and experience
You will have attained GCSE grade 4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) and ideally, will have experience of working with children or young people in an education setting.
