A specialist provision in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire is looking for a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join their team and help transform the educational experience for pupils who need something different from mainstream.
This is a role for a teacher who thrives on connection, curiosity and creativity someone who can bring learning to life through hands on activities, personalised approaches and a deep understanding of each child’s individual needs.
The Role – SEN Primary Teacher
* Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for primary‑aged learners with a range of additional needs
* Using creative, practical and multisensory approaches to rebuild confidence, curiosity and engagement
* Creating a calm, nurturing and consistent classroom environment where pupils feel safe to take risks and try again
* Working closely with support staff, therapists and senior leaders to ensure every child receives the right support
* Using trauma‑informed and relationship‑based practice to help pupils regulate, reconnect and progress
* Committing to 15/25/30 hours per week in Wisbech Cambridgeshire, providing stability and continuity for learners
What We’re Looking For in an SEN Primary Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching primary‑aged pupils (SEN experience highly desirable)
* A flexible, patient and empathetic approach
* Strong understanding of SEND, including SEMH, communication needs, sensory needs or developmental delays
* Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning profiles
* A passion for helping children rediscover their love of learning
* Someone who is commutable to Wisbech, Cambridgeshire and available full‑time
