Health and Safety Advisor

Irwin and Colton have partnered with one of the UK's largest bowling companies who are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. This role is brand new to the organisation, providing a fantastic opportunity to shape and embed a proactive safety culture across their growing portfolio, and will report into the health and safety manager.
The organisation operates a nationwide network of large entertainment venues that combine bowling with a variety of complementary attractions such as arcade games, soft-play areas for children, escape-room style activities and dedicated party spaces including food and drink.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:
Support the health and safety manager to embed a culture of best practice across the business and property portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance
Work closely with site teams and senior leaders to embed a strong safety culture
Ensure activities across the portfolio are properly managed, risk assessed and regularly audited to evaluate performance
Ability to work with local authorities and implement legislation for the likes of food and fire safety, security and safeguardingThe successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and relevant membership body
Experience and knowledge of food safety is advantageous
Proven multi-site experience in a similar role within a customer-facing environment, such as leisure, hospitality, or retail
