An ambitious and welcoming secondary school in Slough is seeking a motivated and articulate English Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025. This opportunity is particularly well-suited to recent English graduates or individuals with CELTA, EAL experience, or equivalent qualifications who are considering a career in education.
The Role:
This is a dynamic, hands-on role supporting students' progress in English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The English Teaching Assistant will work closely with classroom teachers and the wider English department to help raise attainment and build student confidence.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting English lessons across a range of abilities
Delivering targeted literacy support to individuals and small groups
Assisting with the development of creative and inclusive lesson materials
Providing tailored support to students with additional needs, including those with EAL or SEN requirements
Helping students refine their reading, writing, and critical analysis skills
Tracking student progress and contributing to their academic development
Fostering a positive and focused learning environment

Candidate Profile:
