We require strong experience administering and supporting Windows Server environments. We need solid knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls. We are looking for proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across databases, infrastructure, networking, and applications. We need experience implementing and configuring business applications. We require the ability to work effectively with development, infrastructure, support teams, and third-party vendors. We are seeking experience supporting production and other business-critical systems. We need knowledge of server monitoring, maintenance, and operational best practices. We require strong communication and documentation skills. Desirable experience includes VMware or Hyper-V, Azure or AWS, PowerShell scripting or automation, and IIS, application hosting, or middleware platforms. Responsibilities: We will maintain and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including high availability systems. We will install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments. We will take part in a 24/7 remote on-call rota after training. We will troubleshoot database, infrastructure, networking, and application issues. We will perform application installations, upgrades, and configuration changes. We will support the deployment and implementation of new systems and applications. We will monitor system performance and proactively resolve incidents. We will collaborate with developers and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues. We will manage server builds, patching, maintenance, and environment configuration. We will support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes. We will maintain technical documentation, procedures, and configuration records. We will assist with networking issues, including DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and connectivity. We will participate in system testing, releases, and change management activities.
