Role Responsibility An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Highway Operations Team as a Senior Streetworks Inspector. This is a key leadership role where you’ll help shape the future of Kent’s highways by ensuring roadworks are safe, compliant, and well-managed. You’ll be supporting a dedicated team of inspectors, coordinating responses to high-profile works, and working closely with contractors, utility companies, and internal teams to keep Kent moving. You’ll need to bring: A Street Works Supervisor accreditation Experience in highways or local government Strong communication and leadership skills A good understanding of streetworks legislation (NRSWA, Traffic Management Act, Highways Act) In return, you’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, with opportunities to develop your skills and make a real impact across the county. The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner is essential. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.
