This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a dynamic Legal & Governance team. You will gain hands-on experience working closely with senior professionals, supporting the Lead Company Secretary for Octopus VCTs and the Assistant Company Secretary, across the VCT portfolio.
The team
You will be part of a small team, currently comprising 3 people, which is part of the wider Legal and Governance team.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing agendas for Board and Committee meetings (Audit & Risk, Nominations & Remuneration, and Management Engagement).
* Collate and distribute all board papers via Board Intelligence.
* Administrative arrangements and liaison with all VCT boards to agree meeting calendars and make suitable arrangements (room bookings, catering etc.).
* Maintain statutory records for each VCT.
* Undertake all Companies House filings; e.g CS01s, SH01s.
* Prepare documentation for all share buy-backs including liaising with broker and registrar.
* Arrange allotments documentation, liaising with registrar and corporate advisor.
* Draft and file share premium cancellation documentation.
* Involvement in the annual and interim report process.

* CGI part-qualified/qualified
