About the Role As Maintenance Manager, you’ll take ownership of the site’s planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring all statutory compliance, health & safety, and building maintenance standards are upheld. You’ll manage a small team and coordinate external contractors, ensuring high‑quality delivery across all estates and facilities operations. This role suits someone with strong engineering or multi‑skilled maintenance experience who thrives in a regulated environment such as healthcare, education, supported living, or residential services. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver PPM schedules, ensuring timely, high‑quality maintenance. Oversee all reactive maintenance, prioritising health‑critical and patient‑impacting jobs. Manage contractors across building services, electrical, mechanical and grounds maintenance. Ensure full H&S compliance, including fire safety, water hygiene, and risk assessments. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and asset records (CAFM or equivalent). Support small works, upgrades, refurbishments and estates improvements. Work closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure facilities support service delivery. What You’ll Bring NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical, mechanical or building trade (JIB‑approved welcomed). Background in facilities management, maintenance engineering, or estates operations. Experience in healthcare, NHS, residential care, or another regulated environment (advantageous). Strong communication, problem‑solving and leadership skills. Resilience and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
