Are you looking for flexible work in a beautiful environment, with a friendly team?
This post is based in Powys, mid-Wales, a large rural county known for its strong sense of community, outstanding natural landscapes and commitment to supporting children and young people across both English and Welsh medium settings, through innovative practice.
Powys County Council delivers an Educational Psychology service across a wide geographical area, so the role may involve travel across the county to work in Early Years settings, schools and colleges. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are supported, with access to modern workspaces in key Powys hubs when required.
About the role:
Providing a comprehensive, person-centred, outcomes focussed educational psychology service for children and young people aged 0 to 25 and to agreed clusters of Early Years settings, schools and families.
About you:
You will have a post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology and have experience as a practising Educational Psychologist, or you are in years 2/3 of a recognised Trainee EP course. You will be able to work well as part of a team but also independently.
What you will do:
Work with settings, schools, colleges and other agencies to provide children, young people and staff with an educational psychology service. This will include as necessary, direct work with children and families, advice, consultation and support in the general application of psychology to good evidence-based practice and systems.
