Job Summary
We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to support a busy print factory in Uckfield. This is a hands-on role suited to someone reliable, organised, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth goods‑in, stock control, and internal logistics between the warehouse and production areas.
This position is offered on a temporary basis through The Best Connection, eventually leading to a permanent contract after a successful period.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Receiving, checking, and booking in stock including paper, inks, and consumables
* Managing goods‑in and dispatch operations
* Maintaining accurate stock records through daily physical counts
* Strapping completed work and organising daily movement between factories
* Producing a simple daily stock report, including:
* Completed stock counts
* Internal stock transfers (warehouse machines)
* Replenishment requirements from suppliers
* Daily (or twice‑daily, volume‑dependent) house sheet and paper stock checks
* Liaising with production teams to prioritise work and resolve shortages
* Replenishing stock to ensure uninterrupted workflow
* Operating a counterbalance FLT to ensure stock is moved safely around the workshop

* Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Remain vigilant, alert, and aware of surrounding risks at all times
Preferable for this position but not essential:
* Access to own vehicle
