Based at our head office in Droitwich, Parkwood Project Management (PPM) is seeking a Management Accountant to join our central support team. PPM delivers project management solutions across the UK, with expertise in Construction Project Management, SPV Management, Asset Management, and Energy & Sustainability Projects. The Opportunity
The primary objectives of the Management Accountant role include:
1. Managing the company accounts for PPM and five SPV project companies;
2. Proactively managing SPV financial models, meeting deadlines, and identifying risks and opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Accountability for the financial data and analysis for PPM/SPV accounts, including preparation for Board meetings;
* Transactional processing and maintaining ledger accuracy;
* Presenting financial information at quarterly SPV board meetings;
* Managing cash flow and working capital within authority limits;
* Preparing cash flow forecasts and liaising with project stakeholders;
* Completing reconciliations, VAT and CIS returns, and managing statutory accounts and audits;
* Coordinating budgeting processes and enforcing financial controls;
* Undertaking other duties as required by PPM directors.
The Person
* Preferably a part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or experienced in finance;
* Strong financial control skills;
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines;
* Hands-on, commercial attitude with a conscientious approach;
* Ability to interface at all levels within the business;
* Ambition and drive to contribute to business success;
* Commitment to good employee relations.
