Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Welding Engineer to join our Asset Management team. In this role, you support project delivery and technical excellence in welding and materials engineering for both onshore and offshore projects. You work closely with project teams and clients to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project outcomes.
Key Deliverables
* Advising on welding techniques, materials selection, heat treatment processes, and non-destructive testing methods for projects.
* Preparing and reviewing welding procedures and documentation to meet relevant standards and project requirements.
* Participating in project planning and providing guidance on welding-related activities.
* Liaising with clients to clarify technical requirements and resolve welding and materials issues during project execution.
* Monitoring welding operations to verify compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
* Investigating welding failures and recommending corrective actions.
* Supporting welding procedure development and qualification tests.
* Providing technical training for welding personnel to maintain high standards of work across projects.
* Working with design and engineering teams to ensure compatibility of materials and welding methods.
Key Requirements
* Degree or diploma in welding engineering, metallurgy, or a relevant technical field.
* Experience in nuclear, process, energy, or related industries that use advanced welding methods.
* Knowledge of welding codes, standards, and industry best practices.
* Ability to prepare, review, and approve welding procedures and technical documentation.
* Experience working with steam raising, pressure equipment, or similar plant environments.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
