Role- Production Engineer
Salary- £32,000- £37,000 per annum (dependant on experience, please advise)
Type- Permanent
Location- Bristol
My client designs and manufactures a range of electro-mechanical products, and they are looking to take on a Production Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Bristol area.
The Production Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* HNC / HND / NVQ / BSc / BEng qualification ideally or similar in Manufacturing or Production Engineering or have previous work experience in this type of hands-on role
* Understanding of Six Sigma would be beneficial
* 2 years or more of engineering experience in a similar Manufacturing, Assembly, FMCG or similar environment
* Have experience of working with Lean Manufacturing methodologies, FMEA, and Continuous Improvement activities
* Knowledge of ISO9001
* Previous experience of working with a range of materials including plastics
* Be able to design jigs & fixtures (understanding of SolidWorks CAD software)
* Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
* Have good communication skills both verbal and written
* Computer proficiency using MS Office
* Excellent problem-solving skills
The Production Engineer role will involve:
* Working with the team to improve production processes
* Defining processes and procedures
* Help to support with any operational issues
* Being involved in continuous improvement activities
* Helping to achieve on time delivery with customer orders
* Supporting NPI too
* Being involved in production design and set up
* Using problem solving skills
