The Role
As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a global, cross-disciplinary, agile team designing, implementing, validating and maintaining mechanical subsystems for Markem-Imaje current and future printers.
In this role you will work with talented engineers in a global environment, building complex products. From proof of concept to production youll work with products across a variety of printing technologies, targeted to meet our customers needs and the strategic objectives of Markem-Imaje.
What you will do:
1. Drive quality and efficiency within the Mechanical Engineering team by setting an outstanding example in terms of highly effective design collaboration with cross-functional teams in a global capacity (USA, UK, France, Poland, Italy, India, China).
2. Perform and lead CAD design, engineering computers simulations, and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of design validation and reliability goals.
3. Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem-solving activities.
4. Deploy state of the art mechanical engineering development practices (such as advanced fabrication methods, rapid prototyping, reliability studies, FEA/CFD simulation, etc.).
5. Follow and drive improvement of best practices and tools to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and mechanical subsystem quality.
6. Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to execute efficient interfaces with third party engineering partners and suppliers.
What you need to have:
7. Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
8. Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering research and development roles, preferably within an Industrial environment.
9. Experience designing industrial products from concept through production.
10. Experience in CAD design (Creo/Windchill preferred), FEA/CFD analysis, and thermal/flow/pneumatics/electro-mechanical testing.
11. Experience in 3D manufacturing, additive manufacturing, injection molding or precision part casting is a plus.
12. Excellent communication both verbal and written.
13. Must be able to work independently as well as work well within a team environment.
14. Must be organized, results oriented with the ability to working on multiple projects in parallel.
