Sports & Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Shepshed, LE12 (easily accessible from Loughborough, Leicester & Derbyshire)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £90 - £105 per day
Start Date: August 2025 (Trial days available immediately)
Contract: Long-term to permanent

We're working with a brand-new, purpose-built SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Shepshed (LE12) that supports students aged 4-16. The school is seeking a Sports & Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team.
This is primarily a Teaching Assistant role, working in classrooms to support students' learning and behaviour. However, you'll also have the opportunity to lead or assist with sports and physical activities throughout the school day - especially helpful in engaging students who may find traditional classroom learning more challenging.
What You'll Be Doing:
Working closely with teachers to support students in the classroom, helping them stay focused and regulated
Delivering 1:1 support for children with social, emotional or behavioural needs
Using physical activity, movement breaks and structured sports to promote positive engagement and wellbeing
Encouraging confidence, motivation and healthy routines through active support
Building trusted relationships and acting as a consistent, positive role modelWho We're Looking For:
Someone with a background or interest in sport, coaching, PE or youth work
A graduate or experienced individual who is patient, enthusiastic and resilient
Prior experience supporting children or young people is desirable
Willing to apply for (or already hold) an Enhanced DBS certificateWhat the School Offers:
