To contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient Preventative programme, ensuring grants are aligned with and support the principles of Early Intervention and Prevention, particularly community-delivered solutions, to achieve impactful outcomes in the short, medium, and long term.
To support preventative services by ensuring that grants are developed and utilized to promote Early Intervention and Prevention, providing accessible, efficient, and effective provision, support, and delivery, especially within the community. Quality assurance, grant compliance, review, and service improvement activities are integral to this process.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Support the design of grant support programmes based on the principles of Early Intervention and Prevention and the supporting grant framework.
* Administer a range of grants (including Third Sector Major Grants) to community groups, organizations, and individuals, aligned with the principles of Early Intervention and Prevention.
Experience
* Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar setting (voluntary, public, preventative, etc.) – Application and Interview.
* Experience in developing policies, protocols, and procedures related to grant administration – Application Form / Interview.
* Experience communicating with a wide range of organizations and individuals, at all levels, with the ability to develop and sustain good working partnerships – Application Form / Interview.
* Ability to prioritize workload and work independently, managing a varied and complex workload under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of grant administration and monitoring, working with the Contract Lead Officer and relevant internal officers to explore and implement creative approaches to improve efficiency, supporting the wider Preventative Commissioning team, and ensuring grants are delivered in accordance with their terms and conditions.
Assist in verifying and validating grant applications and performance data, provide timely advice to stakeholders, support grant reviews, monitoring, and compliance visits, and maintain positive relationships with relevant groups and organizations to ensure grants meet community needs, especially related to Early Intervention and Prevention activities.
