The role
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for Mental Health Support Workers to work at an acute inpatient metal health service in the Clacton on Sea area.
You will work with an inclusive multi- disciplinary clinical team, providing front line trauma -informed care. Your primary goal is to to help service users with acute phases of mental illness and support them on a recovery pathway back to independent living.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Day to day care - Assisting service users with day to day routine and activities, monitoring and supporting at mealtimes and providing physical support including personal care,
- Behavioral Monitoring - Join ward rounds, closely analyze patient behavious,and actively adapt care plans along side senior clinicians
- Safety & vigilance - Respond swiftly to incidents, maintaining strict situational awareness in a challenging acute environment.
- Record keeping- Ensure all patient documentation is recorded accurately, ensuring records are updating behavioral changes and progress.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months experience working in care environment, ideally supporting adults with mental health issues.
- A good work ethic, and able to work under pressure with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- You will need a car, due to rural location
- A high level of compassion and initiative, with a good team work mentality is essential.,
