* Full time (37 hours)
* Fixed term contract to 31st March 2028
* £25,583 – £30,024 (national pay award pending)
* 8.30am or 9am– 4pm, 4:30pm or 5.00pm Monday to Friday (dependant on scheduled work location). And 9am – midday around one Saturday in six. Allocated on a rota basis
* Variable base – must be willing to travel to work locations in Chatteris, March, Whittlesey and Wisbech, with option of some working from home.
This is an exciting, varied opportunity for a customer service advisor within Fenland District Council’s My Fenland Team.
We’re looking for a people person who will thrive on variety and working as part of a busy and lively customer‑focused team.
The My Fenland team’s key objective is to deliver excellent customer service at the first point of contact. You’ll need excellent communication skills to deal with enquiries via phone, email, web chat and in‑person.
You’ll be resolving customer queries on a wide range of council and partner services.
In addition, the My Fenland team provides admin support to key services across the council.
You’ll work at different locations across Fenland – in Chatteris, March, Whittlesey and Wisbech. Our contact centre is based in March, we have business centres in Chatteris and Wisbech and offer face‑to‑face appointments in all those locations as well as Whittlesey. Therefore, you will need use of a vehicle.
You will mostly work 8.30am or 9am – 4pm, 4.30 or 5.00 pm weekdays and around one in six Saturdays 9am to midday. There may be occasional evening working to cover conferences at our business centres in Wisbech and Chatteris.
Previous experience in a customer focussed environment is essential.
Full training will be provided.
The role is on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2028.
