EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As our Field Technician you will be required to maintain, assess, diagnose, determine the most appropriate resolution, and support any interruptions / issues to either the water service or sewage treatment process, and/or provide general O&M, installation and maintenance skills across a range of our contracts.
The key duties of the role are:
1. Day to day inspection, repair and maintenance of water and wastewater assets to defined internal quality standards.
2. Deliver a high level of customer service whilst meeting health and safety, financial, KPI, statutory, quality and contractual compliance.
3. Work with scheduling team and line management to maximise productivity and efficiency.
4. Provide quality daily job feedback to identify follow on work to minimise the avoidable failures for water quality and environmental consents.
5. Provide support to both customers and colleagues with technical input when required.
6. Manage personal workloads to ensure maximum flexibility, productivity, and effective time management.
7. Undertake range of activities as required and as skills and ability allow. For ICO employees this may include, O&M activities, CFS testing, meter verification/ installation, lifecycle works and private pipe services and general site maintenance and cleaning duties, tank inspection and cleaning, pipework installation and modification, Water Compliance remedial works, etc.
8. Maintain site standards to food grade level, particularly on water assets.
9. Support local operational incidents.
10. Participate in an out-of-hours operational stand-by rota.
11. Carry out O&M works on a Water Treatment works capable of producing mega litres per day.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The successful candidate will have experience of operating and maintaining water and wastewater assets and also experience in plumbing installation and maintenance. If you have a Background knowledge in water process treatment & chemistry, particularly in relation to river abstraction water treatment that would be desirable. A full UK driving license is required for this position.
