Job Purpose
The Software Developer (Web) calls for a talented individual to design and develop software for the User Configurable Open System (UCOS) product.
You will have an opportunity to apply your versatile web, cloud, systems, and application software development skills to UCOS’s expanding use in myriad industrial controls and automation systems and Industrial IoT. You will collaborate with other engineers while contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Job Description
1. Architect, design, implement, test and deliver high quality, performant software products.
2. Work cross functionally with software, application, and quality engineers to ensure products meet engineering and client success criteria.
3. Actively participate in the definition and implementation of new processes and improvements
4. Identify and create new technologies and ideas to increase the organization’s intellectual property and to better address customer needs.
5. Present your designs and solutions to internal and external teams and review designs of software and quality engineers.
6. Location: Tech Center - Ilha do Fundão - Rio de Janeiro

7. Bachelor’s degre
8. Advanced English
9. Expertise in software engineering
10. Experience in User Experience (UX) design and interaction design
11. Proficiency with REACT for frontend development
12. Experience in backend development using Kotlin and Java
13. Experience establishing and maintaining design standards and patterns for product areas assigned
14. Experience in creating conceptual models, use cases/scenarios, personas, wireframes, mock-ups, user flow diagrams, prototypes, product roadmaps, style guides, and specification documents as part of a comprehensive design strategy Understanding of database technologies such as SQL, ODBC, and relational database schema design
15. Exposure to Configuration Management tools (Version control, bug tracking, change management, automated builds, and coding standards)
16. Exposure to developing in agile and Iterative Software development processes
Nice to have
17. Experience defining success metrics with cross-functional teams to measure success of UX initiatives
18. Knowledge of C# and C++ is a plus
19. Working knowledge of backend frameworks such as Spring Boot / Node.js is a plus
20. Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence
21. Systems software programming knowledge of Windows and Linux OS
22. Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), wired interfaces (Ethernet, USB), and wireless interfaces (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cell, Satellite)
