Job Summary
Are you a Health & Safety trained professional looking for a role that allows you to make a difference? This is an opportunity to lead a forward-thinking team, supporting Defence and its partners to ensure safety and environmental standards are met. The role involves overseeing operational locations in the UK and overseas, with regular site visits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Risk Management: Assess workplace risks and implement preventative measures.
2. Policy Implementation: Enforce safety policies and procedures across the JCG.
3. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
4. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental legislation, providing regular updates to the Commander.
5. Culture Building: Promote a positive safety culture within the JCG.
6. Audit and Assurance: Conduct audits, prepare reports, and provide assurance on safety management processes.
7. Hazard Identification: Inspect work areas for hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
8. Legal Protection: Maintain standards to minimize legal risks from workplace incidents.
9. Fire Safety: Act as a conduit for fire safety information within the organisation.

Qualifications
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
* National Qualification in Fire Safety (NEBOSH Level 3 or equivalent).
* ISO:45001 Lead Auditor qualification.
* IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
* Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH minimum).
