Job Description:
* Carry a workload, commensurate with qualification, experience, and competency. Workload will be highly complex with a degree of autonomy and regular supervision.
* Provide direct supervision to staff as directed by the Team Manager.
* Work within the legislative and procedural framework of Peterborough City Council.
* Collaborate with service users and their families to assess needs, plan, and deliver services.
* Coach/mentor less experienced team members as a Practice Educator.
* Chair meetings and support appropriate responses for children’s safeguarding.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively and sensitively with service users and families, ensuring a child-centred approach.
* Assist the Team Manager, including supervising Social Workers and qualified staff as directed.
* Undertake timely assessments according to standards, policies, and procedures.
* Plan, implement, and review services for service users.
* Manage a caseload and participate in supervision and performance reviews.
* Act as a practice lead and contribute to the induction of new staff.
* Serve as a practice educator for ASYE’s within the team.
* Participate in project and development work.
* Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with policies.
* Meet HCPC registration requirements.
* Develop effective partnerships with related teams and agencies.
* Adhere to the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy and other related policies.
* Comply with Health & Safety requirements.
