A varied purchasing role working for this established and successful Peterborough business. With an immediate start available, this role is initially for 6 months with a strong possibility of being made permanent. This role will take responsibility for ensuring that products and materials are available in a timely manner, whilst keeping inventory levels within agreed limits. Working as part of a supportive and established team, you will be given a huge amount of autonomy while working with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Key areas of focus pertain to: raising Purchase Orders to ensure stock availability; update and circulate KPI reports; update the contract management database; work with suppliers to develop long-term partnerships; and support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing. To succeed in this role, you will be able to start at short notice and have a self-motivated and positive approach to your work. With high levels of initiative, you will be highly organised and be able to work in a versatile and solutions-focused manner. Experience in a defined procurement role is essential with sector experience flexible. With a positive and self-motivated approach, you will have excellent influencing and relationship-building skills with part-qualified CIPS desirable but not essential.
