Job Details
Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour, 48 hours per week, 05:30 – 17:30, Monday to Sunday (4 days per week). Location: Buxton, Harpur Hill, SK17 9JN. Driving licence essential. Valid SIA licence essential.
Main Duties
* To protect customers’ property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the published Assignment Instructions (AI).
* Deliver results that meet or exceed KPIs/ SLAs, ensuring the contract’s retention.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the AI.
* Proactively review and suggest improvements to updated AI to enhance service.
* Ensure compliance with all policies, UK law, guidance bodies, and that licences (front‑line security/door supervision and CCTV PSS SIA) are worn at all times.
* Comply with all legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Training & Development
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
* Undertake additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and continually develop job knowledge.
* Ensure licence renewal 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards.
* Stay alert to threats or changes within the environment to reduce risk of disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative, involving others if situation becomes threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct when faced with difficult situations and challenging customers.
* Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after any incident for incident reporting.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to the client and Mitie.
* Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time as stipulated in the AI.
* Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
Requirements
* Previous security experience.
* Valid SIA licence.
* SC clearance (desirable).
