Please note that this role can be based either at our Blyth site in Northumberland or the Glenrothes site in Fife, and all candidates must be within commuting distance of one of these locations. This role is on a fixed-term basis for 8 months.
VELUX Commercial is a division established in 2019, comprising the former JET, Vitral, VELUX Modular Skylights, and COXDOME organizations. Today, it operates as one company with over 1100 people across 11 countries, supporting building professionals from specification to delivery and maintenance of daylight and ventilation solutions for various buildings.
As a Multi-Product Sales Operations Advisor, you will support internal and external sales teams by managing quotations, orders, and customer interactions across the full product range.
You will join our GB&I Sales Operations team, characterized by a growth mindset, informal tone, and open-door culture. We offer and accept help and feedback, making sure we have fun together.
This role involves engaging with customers to clarify requirements, preparing accurate quotes, processing orders in ERP/CRM systems, and supporting the busiest product areas. It also includes providing basic technical assistance and handling sales administration to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Work closely with the Inside and external sales teams.
* Become an expert in quoting & ordering across our full range of products.
* Support in whichever product area of Sales Operations is busiest at any given time.
* Engage with customers upon receipt of quote requests to clarify their requirements and establish necessary return dates.
* Prepare and finalize quotations prior to sending them to customers.
* Effectively manage project margins.
* Clarify, finalize, and enter orders into our ERP systems.
* Manage incoming enquiries using the company CRM system.
* Perform general sales administration as required.
* Offer basic technical assistance to architects, main contractors, and end users.
* Handle incoming/outgoing calls, emails, and postal enquiries to/from architects & main contractors, responding or passing relevant information to sales teams.
* Carry out any other tasks reasonably related to your role.
Person Specification
* Highly organized and self-disciplined with excellent planning skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to develop professional relationships at all levels.
* Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office or similar).
* Ability to manage key stakeholders within a global organization.
* Resilient attitude towards challenges and change.
* Full UK driving license and passport.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Occasional travel to other UK locations (approx. 2-3 times per year).
