Overview
Here is a role with purpose in a child-centred organisation committed to reimagining the world of support for vulnerable young people. The position involves planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to pupils and students, ranging from KS1 to KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools.
Responsibilities
* CPD and employee mentoring: TES CPD suite and professional mentor access
* SEND Support Team: Support to keep a team around you and the child
* Community and Company Events: Knowledge sharing and resources
* Referral Programme: Get rewarded for successful tutor referrals
* Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
About our mission
We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties). We are working with Schools and Local Authorities and are looking for Core Subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEND Tutors and Teachers to transform the lives of Young People with SEND and SEMH needs in your community.
Experience, Subjects
* Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
* Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
Qualifications and Compliance
* Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
* Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
Location and Safeguarding
* Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
* Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
Compensation and Posting
