Hours: Full-time
Your Role:
As the School Attendance Officer, you'll play a vital role in promoting regular attendance and punctuality among students. You'll work closely with pupils, parents, and staff to track attendance, follow up on absences, and help create a supportive environment that encourages full engagement in learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality records
* Contacting parents/carers regarding unexplained absences
* Liaising with staff and external agencies to support students
* Producing reports and maintaining accurate attendance data
* Supporting school initiatives to improve overall attendance rates
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working in a school or administrative setting
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and compassionate approach
* Knowledge of attendance systems (SIMS or similar) is essential
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
