Reports to: Senior Operations Manager
Role purpose:
The Early Years Quality Improvement Manager is responsible for driving high standards of education, care, and compliance across all nursery settings. The postholder will lead on continuous quality improvement, support leadership teams in each setting, and ensure that all nurseries are consistently meeting or exceeding regulatory standards, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements.
Key responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular audits and quality reviews across all settings
2. Support on all internal Quality Monitoring Inspections and external Ofsted inspections
3. providing feedback and action plans
4. Ensure all settings meet statutory requirements including safeguarding, SEND, and health and safety
5. Support implementation of a consistent, high-quality curriculum across all nurseries
6. Champion evidence-based approaches to early learning and child development
7. Provide guidance on improving teaching and learning practice, including support for SEND and inclusive education
8. Identify training needs across the group and develop CPD plans
9. Deliver or coordinate training workshops and coaching sessions
10. Support Nursery Managers in performance management and leadership development
11. Use data to inform strategic planning and drive improvements
12. Promote best practices for family partnerships across the nurseries
13. Support initiatives to gather and act on parent feedback
14. Ensure policies and procedures are implemented consistently
15. Stay informed of legislative and policy changes affecting early years provision
16. Line manager for the Nursery support practitioner, identifying where their support is needed and assessing the impact
17. Completing supervisions and appraisals for Nursery Support Practitioner and those of nursery staff where required
What you’ll bring:
18. Level 5 or above qualification in Early Years Education or Level 3 with ambition to grow
19. Proven leadership in EYFS & good knowledge of Ofsted standards
20. Passion for inclusive high quality education
Skills and competencies:
21. Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
22. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
23. Confidence in delivering training and leading meetings
24. Ability to travel between multiple settings
Desirable:
25. Experience with curriculum development or educational leadership
26. Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and inclusion frameworks
