As part of our world-class, performance-focused team youll w ork as a key member of our Operations Team where you will be responsible for the management of your shift to deliver production output safely, efficiently, on time, within budget and to required standards Key Job Accountabilities As part of the operations team youll be responsible for: Enforce Health & Safety requirements in accordance with company policy.Specifically : Promote positive safety culture / awareness considering behaviours and attitudes Participate in safety audits/checks when required Complete initial accident, incident and near miss investigations and reporting Enforce compliance with safe working practices (SOPs) Production & Quality: Maximise output in line with production plan Optimises outputs by reducing scrap levels, blend costs and energy use whilst maximising machine utilisation Manage labour costs and plan resources effectively Ensure quality systems are followed, standards are met, and corrective actions are closed out Enforce 5s principals across all departments Effective delegation of engineering resource Work closely with planning to understand customer requirements / priorities Enforce production/quality audit requirements People Identify and support training and development of direct reports across all departments Responsible for the completion of all training requirements for all employees (new and existing) across all departments Manage internal recruitment and agency resource Enforce effective absence management controls and individual performance management Review of performance and feedback to direct reports via the appraisal process Qualifications/Requirements A proven track record of successful leadership within a manufacturing organisation Experience of day to day running of a manufacturing plant Self-motivated with proven experience of developing and motivating employees Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. Good written and presentational skills. Ability to perform under pressure Excellent IT skills and the ability to analyse data
