Responsibilities
* To take a lead role and supervise the maintenance and preservation of the archive collections including cataloguing and accessioning.
* To assist in the day-to-day operation and delivery of archives and local studies services providing high quality customer service to all service users.
* Organising and developing a program of activity in person or online such as talks, tours and displays inspired by subjects or themes in the archive.
* Identifying partnership opportunities and supporting local groups and organisations on projects, displays and learning activities.
Essential
* Educated to GCSE level.
* Experience of working in a customer focussed environment.
* Ability to manage your time effectively and meet deadlines.
* Ability to be flexible.
Desirable
* Experience of archives management, collections management and research in an archives or museum or similar institution.
* Experience of planning and delivering activities within an archives, museum or similar cultural setting.
* Archive /Heritage/Education related qualification or relevant degree is desirable.
