Location: Egerton Community Primary School, Cox Green Road, Bolton, BL7 9RE
Job Type: Education School based, School Support Staff
Salary Grade: Grade D TA2 Scale 6-11 (£25,183 to £27,269) pro-rata to 15 hours with SNA allowance (Actual £9,022 - £9,769 +SNA per annum)
Working Pattern: Term time + 5 days
Working Hours: 9am-12pm Monday to Friday - 15 hours per week
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 Teaching assistant with a special needs allowance to join our innovative and creative team. Our governors and Senior Team are looking for a patient, empathetic and caring individual with experience and or qualifications within the area of SEND.
We are a one form entry primary school who prides itself on inclusivity and therefore our teams consistently strive for high standards for all our children by adapting the curriculum and provision to meet the needs of all our learners.
Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCO, the successful candidate will support individual pupils with EHCPs who have a recognised special educational need in KS1 and KS2.
Requirements
* Someone who collaborates effectively with other people to provide the very best opportunities for all children
* Someone who is an excellent communicator
* Someone who has a minimum of NVQ2 or equivalent in teaching assistance, or be willing and committed to working towards this within an agreed timeframe
* Someone who is flexible, creative, patient and calm in their approach to all children, especially those with additional needs
* Someone who is passionate about SEND, has high expectations and understands the requirements of supporting children with additional needs
* Someone who will collaborate effectively with class teachers and our SENDCO to adapt the curriculum so pupils with SEND can access our ambitious curriculum offer
