Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. Duties
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
* Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas, fostering a positive working environment.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards and consistency.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety protocols across all departments.
* Manage food production schedules, optimise utilisation of resources, and monitor inventory levels.
* Support training programmes for staff on service standards, food safety, and culinary techniques.
* Handle customer queries or complaints professionally to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
* Assist in organising staff rotas, shift schedules, and performance evaluations.
* Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with the culinary team.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas.
Experience
* Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
* Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts.
* Experience in food safety management and adherence to hygiene standards.
* Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations.
* Previous roles involving team management or leadership responsibilities are highly desirable.
* Experience working with diverse service teams such as serving staff or baristas is advantageous.
* Knowledge of hospitality industry standards including customer service excellence is essential.
