Whether you\\\'re from a mechanical background or another engineering discipline, your expertise can make a real difference in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our critical systems.The OpportunityAs a Technical Advice Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities. Your technical insight will help maintain the reliability and safety of our plant systems.You’ll take ownership of emerging technical issues, contribute to key station processes, and represent the maintenance department in cross-functional meetings. Depending on your experience, you may also become an authorised person for significant plant activities, supporting your professional development.Pay, Benefits & CultureThe salary range associated with this role is between £61730 - £95993. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. Because success is personal.What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our plant operates safely and reliably by identifying and resolving short-term issues. Your expertise will guide the strategy for troubleshooting complex faults and leading resolution efforts.Working closely with Defect Rectification Technicians and other station personnel, you’ll provide expert advice and collaborate on technical challenges. Your role will be instrumental in supporting system upgrades and commissioning new technologies.You’ll also contribute to the development of robust maintenance procedures and participate in field-based technical activities, ensuring our operations remain efficient and forward-thinking.Who You AreYou’ll bring a minimum of a HNC in Engineering or a related discipline, with an Honours Degree or progress toward Chartered Engineer status being a plus. Your solid grasp of engineering principles and ideally some familiarity with power station systems—whether electrical or mechanical—will be key.Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as is a flexible mindset that allows you to support a variety of tasks across the team.
