Job Description
We are looking for a Marketing and Sales Assistant to play a crucial part in our fast-paced marketing department. You'll work across all our brand, marketing and sales activities. We'll rely upon you to have your ear to the ground, making sure that we never miss a thing and that our marketing plans run like clockwork every day. This includes keeping our socials, website and CRM up-to-date.
You'll also work at our box office for about a day every week, providing excellent customer service whilst promoting a close working relationship between the marketing and frontline sales teams. You'll be hands-on with sales processes, customer acquisition and retention, and CRM.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for working in theatre and arts marketing, with the ideas and energy to match. You'll be confident in learning and using a range of IT systems (such as Spektrix, DotDigital and Craft CMS), as well as being confident in using social media in a professional marketing environment. You'll have the standout communication and collaboration skills to work with a wide range of customers and colleagues. As well as being highly organised and able to juggle multiple tasks, you'll have good attention to detail and standards.
Job Requirements
Your experience and skills will include:
At least one year of working in marketing, sales or a comparable role in cultural venue, festival or similar.
Using a CRM system such as Spektrix for managing offers, extracting data, segmenting customers and generating reports.
Supporting events to run smoothly, including organising invites, preparing content, greeting and hosting guests.
Design skills - confident in using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
Social media - strong skills across all platforms, including creating static and short-form content.
Copywriting and proof reading - able to create engaging, on-brand written content.
Website editing - confident in using a website content management system.
Attention to detail, strong organisation and collaboration skills are essential.
Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage our website and daily social media activity and interactions across all platforms. Monitor and measure digital, social and website metrics. Respond to trends and insights and report regularly on these to the wider marketing team.
- Contribute to campaign and communications planning: developing ideas to communicate our work and brand; and evaluating our campaigns and acting on insights.
- Maintain on-site marketing such as signage, digital screens, print and poster displays, and wall graphics.
- Administrative duties including minuting meetings, proofreading, managing print stock, obtaining quotes, collating data, and supporting press interviews.
- Provide outstanding customer service when on the box office. Process bookings correctly, collecting customer data. Maximise opportunities to improve loyalty and revenue.
- Deliver targeted online and email campaigns. Monitor results. Proactively cleanse and manage data.
