The Fire Service Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and high-performing delivery of fire alarm maintenance, remedial works, and team management in accordance with BS 5839-1:2025.

Responsibilities – Fire Service Manager:
As a Fire Service Manager, your role will include:
* Overseeing fire alarm maintenance, inspections, and remedial works to BS 5839-1:2025 standards.
* Managing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensuring timely delivery and high completion rates.
* Prioritising and managing reactive works, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
* Providing leadership to 18 engineers, service desk teams, and supervisors.
* Conducting team meetings, one-to-ones, and performance reviews.
* Managing service backlogs and ensuring safety-critical tasks are addressed promptly.
* Implementing continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and service quality.
* Acting as the escalation point for customer issues and ensuring effective resolution.
* Collaborating with project and compliance teams to ensure cohesive service delivery.
* Monitoring KPIs, analysing data, and producing performance reports.
Requirements – Fire Service Manager:
* Minimum of 2 years managerial experience
* Proven experience in fire alarm service management or a similar leadership role within the life safety or building services sector.
* Strong technical knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems.
* In-depth understanding of BS 5839-1:2025.
* Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
* Proficient in service management systems and reporting tools.
* Strong communication and customer service abilities.
* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
