Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Trainee will be considered for Cardiothoracic Service, Division of Surgery
An opportunity has arisen within the Cardiothoracic Department in the Division of Surgery, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and we are now seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join this well-established team on a permanent basis. No Cardiothoracic experience necessary as training will be provided but candidate should have significant post-registration experience in an acute setting.
The ANP team provides assessment, treatment and ongoing clinical care for patients in our Cardiothoracic ward, Surgical High Dependency Unit and Cardiac ICU. The department receives Major Trauma patients and the ANP team are essential to the clinical management of these patients.
As an ANP/ACP joining this team you will be expected to work a day/night rotational rota including weekends. Maintaining and developing your advanced practice skills, knowledge and competence as well as supporting that of others within the team, will also be an expectation of you in this role.
You will hold a PgDip in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent and have experience working in an acute setting.
We will consider applicants for trainee posts under Annex 21. The ANP team and medical colleagues will support the development of individuals to meet advanced practice competencies through the triangulation approach of academic courses, mentorship and clinical supervision. Applicants for trainee posts should have demonstrated evidence of undertaking courses relevant to the advanced practice pathway.
