The Field Service Manager is responsible for maintaining the base business. She/he will work closely with the Sales team to develop tailored plans to improve customer satisfaction. Additionally, she/he will be responsible for enhancing the technical and soft skills of her/his team to ensure best-in-class support. Supporting the Customer Care Organization, she/he will aim to create value for customers and be perceived as a partner to improve lab performance.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Service Operations and is part of the Customer Care Organization, working remotely to cover the UK Southwest area.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Build a support team that excels technically and in application support
* Collaborate with Sales to support the base business retention
* Provide support to customers according to contract specifications and priorities
* Arrange internal training for engineers
* Support field activities from an administrative standpoint (installation, routine tasks, deinstallation)
The essential requirements of the job include:
* Leadership attitude with the ability to drive team strategy execution
* Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork orientation
* Relations with TPP Providers, Resources, Water Systems, UPS, etc.
* Approval of invoices and order processing
* Flexibility to work hours as needed and support on-call duty during weekends
* Planning and communicating team vacations
* Monitoring legal labor time utilization and implementing measures against negative trends
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements:
* Willingness to travel up to 60% (including 15% outside the country)
* Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; adherence to Danaher Vehicle Policy for company vehicles
Preferred additional experience includes:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Biomedical Science, or related field; advanced degrees or management certifications are a plus
* Proven managerial experience in field service roles
