Overview:
Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, is delivering a range of projects under the United Utilities MSP (Managed Service Provider) Framework. They are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to manage the delivery of both infrastructure (e.g. pipelines, chambers, pumping stations) and non-infrastructure (e.g. treatment works, MEICA integration) water schemes across the North West.
This is a freelance role, based in Manchester, and operating outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring project delivery aligns with time, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
2. Oversee both infrastructure and non-infrastructure project elements from pre-start to handover.
3. Lead site teams, subcontractors, and labour, ensuring productivity, performance, and safe systems of work.
4. Coordinate with design teams, project managers, and United Utilities' client representatives.
5. Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and CDM requirements.
6. Review and manage RAMS, permits, quality inspections, and temporary works coordination.
7. Maintain accurate site records including progress updates, diaries, and as-built information.
Requirements:
8. Proven experience in a Site Agent or Sub Agent role within the UK water sector.
9. Strong understanding of both infrastructure (clean/wastewater pipelines, pumping stations) and non-infrastructure (WwTWs, WTW upgrades) project delivery.
10. Background working with Tier 1 contractors on AMP frameworks (preferably United Utilities).
11. Experience with NEC contract administration on-site.
12. Capable of leading teams and working independently to deliver multi-disciplinary projects.

13. SMSTS
14. CSCS (Black or Gold card preferred)
15. First Aid at Work

17. EUSR Water Hygiene
18. Confined Space
19. NRSWA Supervisor
20. AP/Lifting Ops experience
