Senior interior architect

Immediate start on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

Position

An established interior design studio is seeking a Senior Interior Architect to join its team on a six-month fixed-term contract. This full-time role is suited to an experienced designer with six to eight years’ experience in high-end residential interiors.

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the workload of 3-4 designers whilst also taking lead on your own projects within the studio.

Responsibilities include developing concepts and mood boards, researching finishes and fixtures, producing detailed CAD packages including plans, elevations, sections and construction details, creating technical packs and specifications, developing SketchUp models for joinery and interiors, supporting client presentations, attending site visits and coordinating with suppliers and contractors to maintain design intent and quality.

Candidate

• Six to eight years’ experience in high-end residential interiors
• Strong technical knowledge of luxury residential construction
• Experience producing detailed drawing packages and specifications
• Advanced AutoCAD and SketchUp skills
• Strong Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience sourcing high-quality finishes, fixtures and bespoke interior elements
• On-site experience working with contractors and suppliers
• Experience supporting or managing junior designers

The team works collaboratively across all stages of a project, from concept development through to construction and installation. The studio values original thinking, precision, clear communication and a practical understanding of how exceptional interiors are delivered.
