The Opportunity
Join a mission-driven, Series A scale-up following a record-breaking funding round. They are scaling their engineering team to deliver a subscription model for energy systems.
You will join a high-calibre, lean engineering squad working directly with the Head of Engineering and Product leadership. This is a role for an engineer who wants to build products that have a tangible, positive impact on both consumer wallets and the planet.
The Role
As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in building out a scalable platform that manages complex financial subscriptions, real-time monitoring, and automated grid interactions.
* Build & Own: Drive features from conception to delivery across the full development lifecycle.
* Architectural Input: Contribute to high-level decisions on tooling, infrastructure, and system performance.
* Collaborative Growth: Participate in deep code reviews and mentor peers to maintain a high bar for code quality.
* Agile Environment: Work in a fast-paced, product-focused team utilising modern CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and AWS.
Technical Environment
They look for engineers who are \"tech-agnostic\" but highly proficient in our core stack:
* Language/Frameworks: TypeScript, React, Node.js, Docker, AWS (RDS, Lambda, SNS), GraphQL, REST APIs
Who You Are
* Experienced: 3+ years of professional experience in a product-led engineering environment (Start-up or Scale-up experience is a major plus).
* Full-Stack Mindset: Comfortable navigating the backend (Node/Postgres) and frontend (React/TypeScript).
* Ownership-Driven: You don’t just write tickets; you solve business problems and take pride in maintainable, secure code.
* Proactive: You are curious, open to learning new technologies, and comfortable navigating the ambiguity of a rapidly growing firm.
* Education: STEM Degree desired
