Junior Finance Analystup to £35,000 3 days in the officeStudy support providedI am recruiting for a Junior Finance Analyst role for a Leisure & Wellbeing business in London. This role will suit a recent graduate who is looking for a career in finance, that has intermediate to advanced excel skills, confident and driven. This role will sit within the commercial finance team, reporting into the Head of FP&A and working closely with the Senior Commercial Finance analyst. Responsibilities will include:
* Produce regular reporting across product and membership areas, sharing insights with stakeholders on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Prepare and upload non-financial KPIs into internal reporting systems.
* Review month-end profit and loss statements for various business areas, working closely with finance teams and department leads to investigate variances against budget and prior performance.
* Identify potential risks and opportunities within financial results and recommend actions where appropriate.
* Provide clear and concise commentary to support month-end reporting.
* Contribute to forecasting and budgeting cycles.
* Assist senior members of the finance team with ad hoc analysis and projects as required.
* Build strong working relationships with operational teams to support decision-making and drive business performance.
Candidate Specification:
* Planning on studying or just started studying toward professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or similar).
* Some experience in a commercial or finance-related environment, or hold a relevant degree. Whether it be an internship or a previous role following graduating
* Strong Excel skills and are comfortable working with large datasets.
* Commercially aware, detail-oriented, and able to spot trends or anomalies.
* Can clearly communicate complex information to non-financial stakeholders.
* Proactive, adaptable, and open to continuous improvement.
* You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team and take a positive, driven approach to your work.
* You are motivated to learn, develop your skills, and contribute to a high-performing environment.
