A leading mid-market private equity firm is looking for a Junior Associate to join its growing London-based investment team. Focused on defensive growth sectors such as healthcare, consumer goods, and support services, the firm is known for its hands-on approach, operational focus, and track record of value creation across Europe.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, analytically strong candidate to play a core role across the full deal lifecycle — from sourcing and execution to portfolio strategy and exit planning. You'll work alongside experienced investors on complex transactions, including carve-outs, platform builds, and transformational growth initiatives.
What You’ll Do
* Support deal teams through origination, execution, and portfolio management
* Build sophisticated financial models (including LBOs) and conduct valuation analyses
* Drive industry and company research to support investment theses
* Assist in preparing investment committee papers and strategic board materials
* Participate in commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
* Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and support value creation efforts
* Liaise with advisers and contribute to cross-functional deal workstreams
Who You Are
* 2–4 years’ experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, transaction services, or private equity
* Excellent academic background with a degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a quantitative field
* Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills, with a sharp eye for detail
* Commercially astute, intellectually curious, and comfortable in lean, fast-paced teams
* Strong written and verbal communicator, confident producing board-level materials
* Self-starter with a strong work ethic and genuine interest in long-term value creation
