As an Empty Homes Planning Team Leader you'll lead the Empty Homes Coordinators who are responsible for effectively planning the works for all of our empty homes (void properties). You'll effectively be responsible for the administration of the Empty Homes department ensuring invoices and job closures are processed accurately, and will liaise with the Empty Homes managers to ensure that our empty homes are made available for letting efficiently and as soon as is practical. You'll also motivate and supervise the team to meet the performance targets and deliver positive customer service.
You’ll manage budgets effectively, and ensure compliance with housing policies and procedures. This role allows you to work closely with our Empty Homes Managers, as well as collaboration with our Lettings team and other stakeholders, so you'll maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated solutions. You will play a key role in reducing turnaround times, maximising the use of systems and ensuring our homes are ready to let within agreed timescales!
You’ll have a background in service delivery in a customer centric setting, and will have strong communication skills. Your strong interpersonal and leadership skills will be key in supporting your team and working with teams across the business. You’ll have previous administrative experience and will be organised and proactive, and able to prioritise workload well. Ideally, you’ll have previous experience as a planner (or similar) as it would be advantageous when leading the planning/coordination team. While previous experience within housing/social housing is not essential, it would be beneficial.
