Freelance AV Director Contractor, 3 Month Contract
Location: Central London, Hybrid, 3 days per week in office
Start: ASAP Start (Must be available almost immediately)
Introduction
We are working with a leading agency that is looking to bring in a Freelance AV Director Contractor to support across a busy portfolio of campaigns. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong end to end AV experience who can confidently take ownership from strategy and planning through to activation, buying, optimisation, and reporting.
The Role
This role will suit someone who is hands on, commercially minded, and comfortable working across the full AV campaign lifecycle. You will be responsible for building smart, effective AV media plans, managing media buying, and ensuring campaigns are delivered smoothly and perform against client objectives. The successful contractor will be confident working closely with internal teams, media owners, and clients, bringing both strategic thinking and strong executional ability.
Responsibilities include:
• Leading end to end AV campaign management across strategy, planning, buying, optimisation, and reporting
• Building AV media recommendations aligned to client objectives, audience insight, and budget
• Managing media planning and buying across AV channels, ensuring strong value and effective delivery
• Owning campaign setup, launch, pacing, performance monitoring, and post campaign analysis
• Working closely with clients and internal teams to provide updates, recommendations, and performance insights
• Negotiating with media owners and partners to secure competitive rates and added value opportunities
• Ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
• Identifying opportunities to improve media efficiency and campaign effectiveness throughout delivery
You – Skills & Experience:
• Proven background in end to end AV campaign management, including strategy, planning, and media buying
• Agency experience is essential
• Strong understanding of AV planning principles, audience targeting, and performance optimisation
• Confident managing multiple campaigns and stakeholders at once
• Comfortable being both strategic and hands on in delivery
• Strong communication skills and able to present recommendations clearly to both internal teams and clients
• Available to work on a hybrid basis, 3 days per week in Central London
