We are looking for a Ward Clerk to join our team to support the daily operations of a dynamic ward. The role involves liaising with various teams across the Trust, facilitating safe discharges from hospital, and communicating with patients, their friends, and family.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a busy, fast-paced environment and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth ward operations and care. Key qualities include excellent communication skills, a patient-first approach, the ability to prioritize and organize, high motivation, a calm demeanor, and a good sense of humor. The role also requires maintaining clear records in line with information governance standards.

Some services may relocate to different sites either temporarily or long-term within the year or next. Interviewing managers will be happy to answer any questions about this during the interview.
Please note that if the role or service relocates as part of a planned move, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement. Travel from the employee’s home to the new work location will be considered part of the normal commute. Any other changes unrelated to relocation will be managed according to relevant Trust or National terms and conditions.
