The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a variety of special educational needs (SEN), both academically and emotionally. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference — no prior experience is required.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of learning needs in both one-to-one and small group settings
2. Assisting with personal care and mobility, including the use of hoists, under the guidance of trained staff
3. Building positive, trusting relationships with students to support their engagement and progress
4. Adapting to changes in routine or behaviour with empathy, patience, and flexibility
5. Creating an environment where students can thrive while making learning enjoyable and meaningful

To be considered for the role of a SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
11. Be flexible.
12. Experience in Teaching Assistant roles (Preferable).
13. Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links
14. Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial
15. Friendly and nurturing qualities.
16. Competent behaviour management skills.
17. Familiarity with a range of needs (e.g., ASD - Autistic Spectrum Disorder, SLD - Severe Learning Difficulty and PMLD - Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulty).
18. Preferablymoving and handling training or have recent experience in this.
19. Have a patient and caring nature.
20. Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
21. Willing to complete CPD training.

Salary
£445-£470 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
